Meet DJ & Event Host Alex
“Josh and I can say without hesitation that Alex did a PHENOMENAL job DJing our wedding. We were impressed by his perfect timing for ceremony music and that the transitions between songs were so smooth during the reception. People tend to get a little bored if one song is played for too long, but that definitely was not an issue at our wedding. He transitioned between songs at just the right time and the dancing never stopped! There was not one single awkward moment on the dance floor waiting for a good song to come on. When I say everyone was impressed, I truly mean EVERYONE. Our friends pulled us aside during the wedding to compliment the DJ, our photographer raved about him afterwards and said she's putting him at the top of her recommendations list, and even our pastor had so many great things to say about him. He said Alex did everything right on time, at the right volume, and with massive amounts of enthusiasm. We are so thankful that we chose a DJ we can brag about! We greatly appreciated his expertise, planning, and especially his individualized care and excitement about our marriage. Relationships go a long way, and Alex knows how to talk to people and share in their excitement AND be a fantastic DJ. Can't recommend him enough!!”

I want to thank you for coming to Toussaint Productions. It means a lot that you have taken interest in our company and in our talent and professionals who work constantly on their craft. We strive continuously to bring people moments and memories that stretch a life time. This passion for music started initially from a very young age. I remember when my mom bought me my first drum from Trinidad & Tobago. I absolutely loved playing with it. It led to my love of drumming. My passion for playing drums eventually placed me in a position to play for my church in Columbia, MD.
At my church I played the drums for the youth, men’s, and mass choir. I sang in the youth choir when I wasn’t playing the drums. Now I will say, my singing is not as great as it used to be. While in church, I grew a love for audio engineering and worked the boards whenever I could so that I could understand some of the ways you could control sound and volume. While I was in high school, I played in the drum line. During this time, I still stayed in church each Sunday controlling sound and playing on the drum set. I never really got away from music until I graduated and began my journey enrolled at the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT.
At the Coast Guard academy, I created a drumline with a few friends as an escape from the military requirements and the academic requirements. During that time one of my friends introduced me to Fruity Loops now called FL Studio. This opened my eyes into the world of beat making and music production. Having the ability to create sound waves and warping them was amazing to me. When you included the many patterns of drumming, it just blew me away. My biggest influences in producing included Timbaland and Dr. Dre. While I was an officer serving on my Coast Guard Cutters and Duty Stations, I still found time to keep fostering this hobby. It opened many doors into working with many different artists and aspiring artists for Def Jam as well as Independent artist.
What led me into becoming a DJ and Event Host / MC was the continued passion of music combined with the love of helping people. From volunteering in church in various ministries and community outreach to volunteering to save and assist people in the Coast Guard, I have always wanted to help people in some way. Being a DJ just allows me to continue bringing people happiness with a combined love of sharing my passion of music with them. Imagine being around a group of friends and hearing the latest song by one of your favorite artist. Imagine the feeling you get hearing them sing or rap and nodding your head in community with your friends or family. That shared feeling of joy and community is what I experience every weekend with everyone who ever chooses me to be their DJ. Whether it is a wedding, party, or corporate event, its the same feeling each time. Musically, I love it all honestly. I would say that about each of my DJs as you cannot place us in a box. I pride myself on having a vast openness to genres, regions, and time. When you incorporate warping the sound or blending the sound with remixes and mashups or just the creativity of producing sound live, that’s “Music You Can Feel!” So I thank you again for the opportunity, thank you for helping me live my passion by experiencing it with you.
